| | Mission Statement: The Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA) promotes consumer choice and economic freedom through public policy and industry operational excellence. Its members include the largest and fastest growing companies in the retail industry--retailers, product manufacturers, and service suppliers--which together account for more than $1.5 trillion in annual sales. RILA members provide millions of jobs and operate more than 100,000 stores, manufacturing facilities and distribution centers domestically and abroad. Leadership: RILA is about access to leaders at the companies that make things happen in retail today. As some of the most profitable retailers, our member companies share their critical success factors and, perhaps more importantly, their learnings.
Because RILA's members are both retailers and suppliers, we have a unique forum for our members to establish relationships, solve industry problems, and work together for the benefit of the consumer and the retail industry. Nowhere is this more apparent than at The Leadership Forum and industry conferences.
Government Advocacy: RILA promotes the interests of retailers at all levels of government. The government relations staff at RILA, together with retail and supplier members, identify key issues that impact business and work to ensure that public policy, at both the federal and state level, foster a successful and profitable business environment.
Innovation: Providing its members with the most timely and innovative research in the retail industry is a focus at RILA. Our members are innovators; they are trying new concepts and ideas before their time. RILA is here to support their efforts. Our goal is to be a knowledge center for all of retail's leading-edge ideas and concepts.
Collaboration: Through RILA's committees, retailer and supplier members have a voice in determining the priorities and direction of the association, defining the programs and educational content of conferences, and shaping the legislative agenda facing the retail industry. |
